Our interventional radiologists are extensively trained in the field of minimally invasive techniques, providing state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment for vascular-related conditions.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images within your body without the use of an X-ray. The images show the structure and movement of your body’s internal organs as well as blood flow. Depending on the ultrasound exam that you will be having, you may need to fast or drink water. The sonographer will position you on a cart inside the exam room. He or she will apply gel to the skin around the area being imaged. The gel helps transmit the sound waves. The sonographer will pass a small, handheld instrument back and forth over the exam area.
