Bringing a “Buddy” Helps Claustrophobic MRI Patients

Fear can totally derail your MRI exam and keep you from getting the answers you need. Sometimes all it takes for you to get through your appointment is the support of a friend or family member. That’s why it’s worth asking about our “buddy system.”

Depending on the type of machine you’re getting your MRI on, you may be able to bring someone to sit next to you. Make sure to let your buddy know that they will need to go through the MRI safety checklist, including changing into scrubs, before they can join you in the MRI room.

Give us a call before your appointment to see if the buddy system will work for you.
