Leadership Team

CDI Management Corp. is the management company for RAYUS Radiology (RAYUS), Insight Imaging, and our respective affiliated partners. Through the national management, local operations and clinical teams, we focus on providing efficient operations and clinical best practices to ensure quality patient care and customer service for the clinicians and patients we serve.

We understand our business, industry and our customers’ needs, and having a centralized team allows us to do what we do best every day. Our RAYUS corporate support centers are located in Minneapolis, MN and Boynton Beach, FL.

  • Sami Abbasi, Chief Executive Officer

    Sami has more than 35 years of healthcare services experience and a proven track record of value creation, while leading organizations that have delivered significant improvements in patient care and clinical outcomes.  He has successfully founded and grown businesses in the physician practice and multi-site healthcare markets, including radiology.

    Sami co-founded and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Radiologix. Over a ten-year period, he helped build Radiologix from a creative idea into a leading publicly traded national provider of diagnostic imaging services.  In 2006, he led the merger of Radiologix with Primedex Health Systems to create RadNet.

    He joins us from Sun Capital Partners, a global private-equity firm, where he served as Managing Director and Operating Partner.  Prior to Sun Capital, he served as CEO of Unifeye Vision Partners, PhyMed Healthcare Group, American Pathology Partners and National Surgical Care; private equity-backed healthcare providers in the eye care, anesthesiology, pathology and surgery center markets.

    Sami earned his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.

  • Ryan Raschke, Chief Financial Officer

    Ryan joined RAYUS in 1998 as a financial analyst and has held various positions in the Accounting, Finance, and Treasury areas of the company. In his most recent role leading our Treasury organization, Ryan has played a key role in managing and maintaining RAYUS’s strong balance sheet and capital structure. In 2015, Ryan led the process of restructuring our debt financing, which allows us to have lower cost of borrowing to maintain our existing infrastructure and to fund our future growth projects.

    As Chief Financial Officer, Ryan provides leadership and oversight for the accounting, financial planning and analysis, internal audit and treasury/cash management departments. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas and a B.S. from Iowa State University.

  • Amy Garrigues, Chief Operating Officer

    Amy is responsible for oversight of all of RAYUS operations across the country. Amy has more than 20 years of experience advising health care companies and Board of Directors on operational and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining RAYUS, Amy was the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for 21st Century Oncology, overseeing its operational and strategic transformation. Amy has also previously served as a health care partner with King & Spalding LLP and as a health care strategy consultant with The Boston Consulting Group. She holds an A.B. from Harvard College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

  • Lenny Brunson, Chief Information Officer

    Lenny Brunson serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of RAYUS. In this capacity, Lenny provides leadership and oversight for the Information Technology department that includes application and clinical support, business intelligence, delivery and business relationship management, information security, innovation and transformation, and IT operations functions.

    He has more than 35 years of experience in information technology serving the last 14 years as the CIO of several large physician practice organizations including Covenant Physician Partners, 21st Century Oncology, Hospital Sisters Health System ambulatory division, and the Queens-Long Island Medical Group. He has also held technology leadership positions with the healthcare practices of both Navigant Consulting and Pivot Health.

    Lenny holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from Excelsior College, and an M.A. in Computer Resource and Information Management from Webster University. He is a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO) and Certified Digital Health Executive (CDH-E) through the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), as well as previously serving on the CIO Leadership Council for the American Medical Group Association (AMGA).

  • Peggy Reimer, Chief People and Culture Officer

    Peggy Reimer is the Chief People and Culture Officer for RAYUS.  In this role, she leads the HR team and together they develop and deliver programs and services that support the needs of team members and help the company achieve its goals.  Peggy joined RAYUS in June 2021. Her experience spans a variety of industries and organizations, but has spent most of her career in healthcare.  She chose to join the company because of its strong reputation for quality patient care and the opportunity to be a part of its future as it sets out to expand its national network and establish itself as the preeminent leader of radiology in the country. Peggy holds a B.A. in Business/Entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas.

  • Tiffany Spartz, EVP, Physician Practices

    Tiffany Spartz has been a part of the RAYUS sales and operational leadership team since 2011, currently serving as the EVP of Physician Practices for Foundation Radiology Group.  She has worked closely with our outpatient centers, hospital partnerships, and radiologists during her tenure with the organization.  Her commitment to delivering quality care to each clinician and patient we serve has been unwavering.

  • Christopher “Kit” Crancer, SVP, Rad Partnerships and Policy, Executive Director of Quality Institute

    As the Vice President of Public Policy, Christopher “Kit” Crancer is responsible for leading policy strategies at the national and state levels that enhance RAYUS’s commitment to providing quality care and services to patients and clinicians. He joined RAYUS in 2015 as the organization’s Director of State Legislative Policy, and has since developed extensive policy knowledge in the imaging industry. He’s been instrumental in lobbying for countless pieces of health care legislation that allows RAYUS to continue delivering high-quality imaging services across the country.

    Additionally, Kit also serves as the Executive Director of the RAYUS Quality Institute, where he oversees and implements programs and initiatives that benefit clinicians and patients in our local communities.

  • Per Normark, General Counsel

    Per Normark leads RAYUS’s legal, compliance and risk management teams. He is a seasoned health care attorney with more than 30 years of experience. Prior to joining RAYUS, Per served as the vice president, general counsel and compliance officer of MedQuest Associates, Inc. He was also the Assistant Attorney General for the state of Georgia and an attorney for the United States Department of Interior. He is an active member of both the Minnesota State Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.

  • Charlie Powell, EVP of Foundation Radiology Group

    Charlie Powell joined RAYUS Leadership in 2022 with 25 years of practice management experience. He leads teleradiology operations, strategy, and business development. Charlie was previously U.S. Chief Operating Officer for GenesisCare USA and President of the KentuckyOne Health Medical Group. He received his CPA and Masters degrees in Business and Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
